With WESTERN UNION money transfer services, you can send money overseas easily and quickly.  Do you want to send cash overseas? You can do it simply, easily and immediately.

The Postal Bank is giving its account holders a facility to send money overseas directly from their bank account, in a safe, convenient and simple way without the need of coming to the branch.

Customers who are registered for digital banking (Level 4) can do the transfer directly from their account on our website or via the ‘Postal Bank Account Management’ mobile app.

Special offer for digital users

WESTERN UNION in conjunction with the Postal Bank are introducing a special offer, from 07/11/2023 until further notice.  The offer consists of a discount on conversion rates for the sending currency and the receiving currency, and on the transfer commission to all destination countries.

The offer is for customers making WESTERN UNION transfers via the Postal Bank website and the Account Management mobile app, for amounts up to $1,000.

  • The offer does not apply to WESTERN UNION transfers that are not done digitally.
  • Updates regarding Russia, Belarus and Ukraine:
  • From 21/03/2022 it will not be possible to send money to Russia and Belarus.
  • From 23/03/2022 it will not be possible to receive money from Russia and Belarus.
  • From 24/03/2022 it will not be possible to pay for transactions sent to Russia and Belarus.
  • Transactions paid in US dollars or Euros according to availability.

Wait, how can I send money using WESTERN UNION?

  • From your nearest Postal Bank branch (don’t forget to bring your ID card or passport).
  • Via the Home Banking website - or via the Postal Bank – Account Management mobile app.

* The money is paid to the recipient in dollars or euros or in the local currency, according to payment procedures in the destination country.

And what about receiving money?

  • Go to your nearest post office branch with your ID card or passport.
  • Give the transaction reference number MTCN.
  • When the transaction is verified you will receive the money (in shekels or in dollars, in branches that provide foreign currency services) without commission.

Please note!

  • To transfer amounts exceeding $2000 when the recipient is not a first degree relative, you may be asked to provide further documents. Call the Postal Bank foreign currency center on 076-8871133 for clarification.
  • You can pay the transferred amount in dollars only in the foreign currency branches all over the country. The fee will be paid in shekels.

Prices

Money transfers are subject to a fee that varies according to the amount sent and the destination country.

Please note!  For some destinations there are reduced fees. To check the commission for a particular country, refer to the fee calculator above.

* If the amount to be sent is paid in dollars, an additional fee will be charged for handling foreign currency.

Tell the service rep in the branch that you wish to pay in dollars.

Payment will be made as requested by the sender.
