New service at the Postal bank - Cashing foreign currency check.
As part of the Postal Bank’s efforts to provide the public with some of the most inexpensive services in the banking sector, a new service was added enabling conversion of checks listed in a foreign currency at preferred exchange rate (Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling and more).
The service is provided to Postal Bank account holders and enables the customer to deposit the check in his/her account and receive the sum in NIS directly credited to his/her bank account.
The new service is designed for customers receiving pensions from overseas, lecturers and researchers receiving payments from universities abroad, compensation payments transferred to Nazi victims, refunds from various parties overseas, and more.
Executing transactions through the Postal Bank saves customers the commission fees collected by most banks when depositing checks listed
in a foreign currency.
The wide nation-wide deployment of postal branches enables customers to execute deposits very close to their homes and thus save money and time.
For additional details you can contact the nearest postal branch or call, toll free, from any Bezeq line: 1800-21-31-41 and from any other line: 02-6290447.
Note that you cannot call the call center free of charge from a cellular telephone. |
