As of January 1998, all membership registration and transfer of sick fund memberships are executed at Postal branches.

This service is provided exclusively by the Postal Bank.
A resident registered with one of the sick funds is entitled to transfer to another sick fund if he was a member of the sick fund which he wishes to leave for a period of at least 12 months.
Transfer dates:
First of January
First of April
First of July
First of October
A transfer request must be submitted up to 45 days before the closest transfer date.

A person wishing to cancel a transfer request must submit the cancellation request until the 15th of the month prior to the month before the transition date, as follows:
To cancel a transfer on January 1, the cancellation request must be submitted by November 15
To cancel a transfer on April 1, the cancellation request must be submitted by February 15
To cancel a transfer on July 1, the cancellation request must be submitted by May 15
To cancel a transfer on October 1, the cancellation request must be submitted by August 15 |
