"Mail 24" Service Quality
The Israel Postal company handles approximately 2,500,000 pieces of mail every day, from 4,500 collection points, sent to about 2.000,000 addresses. In any logistic service that is based on manual work, and certainly in an organization dealing with such large scales, there is no absolute certainty of complying with the pledged terms, and there is a certain rate of deviation from the service standard.
"Mail 24"'s quality service standard currently stands at a delivery rate of - 87% of the letters sent via this service are delivered on the following day on which mail delivery is performed. In cases in which the letter sent via "Mail 24" service is addressed to a location in which there is no postal branch, the letter's delivery may take an additional day. Delivery is subject to the terms specified in the company's website (delivery time, mail item weight, sending location and delivery destination).
Israel Post is responsible for the mail items according to the Postal Law of 1986, and the regulations stemming from it. According to section 78 of the Postal Law, the postal company is not responsible for any damages caused as a result of a delay in delivery of the mail.
In cases in which Israel Post does not meet the requirements of the "Mail 24" Service Quality standard, the delivery fee will be returned to the sender upon request.
